The Delhi High Court has resolved to hear only urgent matters through video conferencing till August 13 in continuation with its earlier order dates June 28 According to the office order issued by the Registrar General dated July 22, it has been stated that the full court has resolved to continue with this mechanism.

In its earlier order dated 28th June, the Court had stated that it had resolved to adopt a wait and watch policy in view of the loss of lives of judicial officers, court staff, and advocates.

"The Hon'ble Full Court, while reviewing the existing arrangement of hearing of matters before the Delhi High Court and the District Courts in Delhi, has observed that despite there being decline in the number of Covid-19 cases in the NCT of Delhi, utmost precaution needs to be taken in view of the predicted third wave and limited availability of vaccines." The order states.

Furthermore, it had stated thus:

"Considering the threat of Delta Plus, a variant of concern (VoC), the Hon'ble Full Court has, therefore, resolved to adopt a policy of wait and watch, and to act cautiously, particularly in view of the loss of precious lives of judicial officers, advocates, and court-staff."
