Delhi High Court granted an adjournment in a civil writ petition as both the arguing counsel in the matter tested positive for COVID19.
The Division Bench of Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Subramonium Prasad granted adjournment in the matter when the Petitioner informed the court that both the arguing counsel in the case are suffering from COVID19.
The present order has come in a civil writ petition filed by West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation seeking a remedy against Prasar Bharti.
The concerned Division Bench is also hearing a writ petition monitoring the strategy of the Delhi Government to control the spread of COVID19 in the capital city.
The degree to which the pandemic has affected the legal fraternity has also been looked into by the Delhi High Court under various petitions seeking relief fund for lawyers and clerks.
In the present matter, the court observed that the Respondents have filed a comparative statement of bids which in court's opinion is rather convoluted and needs more clarity.
The court will next take up the matter on December 01.
