Delhi Court Grants Bail To 4 Accused Including Matrix CEO Arrested In Delhi Oxygen Concentrators Hoarding Case

A Delhi Court on Wednesday granted bail to 4 accused persons including Matrix Limited CEO Gaurav Khanna and others namely Satish Sethi, Gaurav Suri and Vikrant arrested in connection with the Oxygen Hoarding case.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Arun Kumar Garg granted bail to the aforesaid accused persons subject to furnishing of a personal bond of Rs. 50,000 each and a surety of like amount. 

However, the Court has not passed orders in the bail plea filed by one of the other accused person namely Hitesh owing to the fact that certain clarifications are needed to be dealt by the Court in view of some additional grounds raised by him in his bail plea. The Court will be pronouncing order qua Hitesh tomorrow at 11:30 AM.

Other bail conditions are as directed by the Court are as follows:

-That they will not tamper with evidences.

-That they will not influence the witnesses.

-That they will join investigation as and when required.

"You cant first penalize people and then make a law. Can you make them guilty of offences which is no offence just to remain in good books? There is a vaccum. Just because of hiding your failures you can't run behind people. You can't create terror." Remarked the judge yesterday while reserving orders in the case.

The remarks were made after Public Prosecutor Atul Shrivastava apprised the Court about the facts of the case stating that the accused persons have hatched a conspiracy by taking advantage of the "pathetic situation of covid 19 pandemic" and sold the said oxygen Concentrators at higher prices.

It was submitted by Shrivastava that the accused persons who have sold oxygen concentrators by way of an application namely "XFactor" have allegedly induced the public and compelled such persons to buy products at a higher price and in turn sold "useless products".

Advocates Sherbir Panag, Samudra Sarangi and Moha Paranjpe appeared on behalf of accused Satish Sethi.

Advocates Samudra Sarangi, Abhilasha Khanna and Nishtha Agarwal appeared for accused Vikrant.

Senior Advocate Trideep Pais  alongwith Advocates Samudra Sarangi, Srishti Khare and Sanya Kumar appeared for accused Gaurav Khanna.

Advocates Samudra Sarangi, Shruti raina and Sumit Mishra appeared for accused Gaurav Suri.
