All the Judges, Registry Officers and Employees of the Chattisgarh High Court and Subordinate Courts will donate one day's salary in Chief Minister's Relief Fund in order to help the needy in times of the covid 19 pandemic.
The order in this regard was issued on Friday by the Registrar General of the High Court stating that the direction has been passed on the approval of the Chief Justice of the High Court.
The order came after Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel appealed to the Government employees to voluntarily donate their one day salary to the CM relief fund.
However, the order mentions that the act shall be voluntary and the officers or officials not willing to donate their salary may inform the consent authority.
The order issued in this regard reads thus:
"Hon ble the Chief Minister of the Chhattisgarh State has made an appeal to their Government officers/employees of the State to voluntarily donate one day salary in the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for providing help to the needy persons adversely affected by COVID-19. Therefore, Hon ble the Chief Justice of this High Court has been pleased to give consent to issue a circular requesting all the Honble Judges, Registry Officers and employees of the High Court and all the Judicial Officers and employees of the Sub-ordinate Judiciary of the State of Chhattisgarh to donate one day's salary."
Furthermore, it has been provided that:
"....Those Officers/Officials of the High Court who do not wish to contribute may intimate Accounts Officer, High Court of Chhattisgarh through message and those Oficers/Officials of the Subordinate Judiciary who do not wish to contribute may intimate their concermed authority of Accounts Section invariably mentioning his/her name, designaton and employee code. latest by 2 p.m. of 25.04.2021 positively."
The Non-receipt of any message by the said time and date shall be taken as their oonsent to donate by the authority.
