In the wake of COVID 19 pandemic, the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi has invoked the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 and Delhi Epidemic Diseases Regulations to ban any gatherings of social/cultural/political/religious/academic/sports/family nature till March 31. Weddings have been exempted from this regulation.

The Arvind Kejriwal Government has also ordered the shutting down of gymansiums, SPAs, nightclubs, theatres, weekly bazars will March 31.

The order issued by the Secretary to the Department of Health and Welfare also directs that all shopping malls in the NCT of Delhi should be disinfected daily, and should make provisions for ample number of hand sanitizers at main entrance and individual shops for visitors. All entry should be allowed only after cleaning of hands with hand sanitizers.
