The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for the year 2020 has been postponed in wake of the extension of the national lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last date of the application has been extended to July 1. A notification has been issued to this extent.

The decision was taken during the NLU Consortium meeting which was held today wherein the Executive Committee reviewed the impact of COVID-19 lockdown on the conduct of CLAT 2020.

The notification further states that the date for CLAT 2020 will be announced by July 1st, thereby giving the students at least 21 days' prior notice for the exam.

The exam was originally going to be held on May 10, and was initially postponed to May 24. However, due to the extension of the national lockdown, it was yet again scheduled to be held on June 21.
