Collegium Recommends Re-Transfer Of Justice Joymalya Bagchi To Calcutta High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended to re-transfer Justice Joymalya Bagchi to Calcutta High Court.

Last year, the collegium had recommended to transfer Justice Bagchi from Calcutta to Andhra Pradesh High Court on December 14, 2020.

Central government had thus notified the transfer of Justice Bagchi through a notification issued on December 31, 2020.

Justice Bagchi thus took oath as a judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court in January this year.

He was appointed as a Judge at the Calcutta High Court on June 27, 2011.
