Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha Inaugurates Civil Court In Arang
On Monday, the Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha virtually inaugurated the newly established Court for District and Additional Sessions Judge Court at Narayanpur, Civil District Kondagaon. This marks a significant step towards enhancing the judicial infrastructure in the region.
Addressing the event, the Chief Justice expressed immense joy and pride, stating that establishing the Civil Court in Arang marks a significant step towards creating a conducive environment for litigants and advocates.
He said the court's establishment aligns with the vision of ensuring accessible and timely justice for all, especially the most marginalised. He added that the Court in Arang would play a pivotal role in achieving the goal of affordable and expedited justice.
He added that the new court will eliminate parties needing to travel to Raipur for hearings.
Chief Justice Sinha also expressed heartfelt emotions during a recent interaction, reflecting on the journey of contributing to the State's judicial infrastructure and progress.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice remarked,
“As I assumed the office as Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, I have seen immense growth of judicial infrastructure with the construction and inauguration of new Court Complexes and Residential quarters for Judicial Officers and employees.”
He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to everyone in the state judiciary for supporting and cooperating with him in every possible way.
It is truly an honor to be part of this esteemed institution, he said.
During the inauguration, the Chief Justice extended his best wishes to the Judicial officers, District administration officials, staff, and the advocate fraternity of Raipur and Arang.
He also congratulated the first presiding officer of the Arang Civil Court, Shivendra Tekam, and the judicial staff, acknowledging the commencement of proceedings for 1,470 cases previously under the jurisdiction of the Junior Division Civil Judge, Raipur.
He urged all stakeholders to collaborate effectively to deliver justice.
Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal, Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Executive Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority, and Portfolio Judge for Raipur, was also present virtually at the event.
The inaugural program commenced with a welcome address by Principal District Judge Raipur Abdul Zahid Qureshi. In his speech, he acknowledged Chief Justice Sinha's unwavering focus on enhancing judicial infrastructure, providing residential facilities for officials and staff, and resolving cases promptly.
Since assuming office as Chief Justice on March 29, 2023, he has undertaken significant measures to address pending cases and improve court infrastructure across the state. His proactive approach includes visiting every district, engaging with litigants, advocates, and court staff, and implementing essential reforms.
