The Delhi High Court has released a circular stating that from May 21 onwards, Chamber Blocks within the court premises shall be opened in two shifts, viz., from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 4 pm.

These Chamber Blocks will be opened up on odd-even basis.

Lawyers having access to these chambers have to comply with the following directions:

All social distancing norms will be required to be scrupulously followed.

Wearing of masks and gloves etc. will be mandatory even while sitting inside chambers.

Members desirous of using their chambers will be mandatorily required to enter their particulars in designation registers available at the entrance of each chamber block

No Intern or Client or service personnel (air-conditioners/ IT etc.) shall be permitted to enter the Chamber blocks.

Access to chambers shall be limited to one lawyer per chamber (or two lawyers per chamber, where a chamber has been allotted on twin sharing basis)

Only one assistant OR one junior shall be allowed to enter the chamber block with the primary user of a chamber

Entry / Exit of members' vehicles shall only be from Gate No. 7. Members are requested to instruct their drivers not to access any area outside the parking lots

Lifts shall only cater to floors which are open in a particular time shift. Only two persons shall be permitted to use a lift at a given point in time

Members are requested not to visit other chambers

No Kiosk/ shop/ canteen/ cafeteria will be opened

The Consultation Room and the Vimarsh facilities shall remain closed.

Cubicles in the office of the Bar Association shall not be available on hire or otherwise

Members are requested to offer themselves for temperature checking by the use of Infra red thermometers at the entrances of the chamber blocks

Members of the Executive Committee of the Bar Association shall be present at all times to help members in case they encounter any difficulty.

Members are requested to co-operate with the Executive Committee, the staff of the Bar Association and the staff of the Delhi High Court.
