The Central Government has notified the resignation of Justice Dama Seshadri Naidu, judge of the Bombay High Court.
The Notification published by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice in the Official Gazette reads as :
"Shri Justice Dama Seshadri Naidu has tendered his resignation from the office of Judge, Bombay High Court, in pursuance of proviso (a) to clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution, with effect from is" August, 2021 afternoon"
Born in 1962, Justice Naidu's entry into the legal profession was as an advocate practicing in the courts at Tirupathi in Andhra Pradesh. He later shifted his practice to the High Court of Andhra Pradesh(undivided).
He was elevated as Additional Judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 21st September,2013.
He was later transferred to High Court of Kerala, where he took charge as a puisne judge on June 30, 2014. In March 2019, he was transferred to the Bombay High Court.
When the new High Court was formed for the State of Andhra Pradesh with effect from January 01, 2019, following the division of the bifurcation of the state into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, it was declared to be his parent high court.
