The Central Government today notified appointment of 2 Advocates as Judges of the Rajasthan High Court. They are:

1) Kumari Rekha Borana

2) Sameer Jain

A notification issued in this regard states thus:

"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint (i) Kumari Rekha Borana and (ii) Shri Sameer Jain, to be Judges of the Rajasthan High Court, with effect from the date they assume charge of their offices."

Earlier this month, the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the names of Advocate Borana and Advocate Jain for their elevation as Judges in the Rajasthan High Court:
