The Central Government on Friday extended the tenure of Justice Abhay Ahuja as Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court by one year from March 4, 2023.
“In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Abhay Ahuja, Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court, to be an Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court for a period of one year with effect from 04th March, 2023”, the notification reads.
Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju announced his appointment, as well as appointment of 9 Judges to the Rajasthan High Court, on Twitter.
Justice Ahuja was first appointed as an additional judge at the HC for 2 years in 2020. He assumed office on March 4, 2020. In January 2022, the Central Government extended his term till March 3, 2023.
