President of India has appointed Advocate Pranay Verma as a Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

A notification in this regard was issued today by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Justice (Appointment Division).

The notification thus reads,

In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Pranay Verma to be a Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.

Earlier this year, the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended Verma's name for elevation as a Judge by a statement issued on March 2, 2021.
