The Centre on Wednesday has notified the appointment of Additional Judge of Himachal Pradesh High Court, Justice Satyen Vaidya as a Permanent Judge of the High Court. 

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended Justice Satyen Vaidya to be a Permanent Judge of the High Court on 19th April, 2022.

"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint following Additional Judges of the Calcutta and Himachal Pradesh High Court, as Judge of that High Court, w.e.f. the date they assume charge of their respective offices", the notification issued by the Law Ministry reads.
