The Central Government has appointed 6 Judges to the Madhya Pradesh High Court and 1 additional Judge to Gauhati High Court.

The names of 6 Judges appointed to the Madhya Pradesh High Court Are:

  1. Anil Verma,
  2. Arun Kumar Sharma,
  3. Satyendra Kumar Singh,
  4. Smt. Sunita Yadav,
  5. Deepak Kumar Agarwal, and
  6. Rajendra Kumar (Verma)

The notification issued in the regard states:

"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint S/Shri (i) Anil Verma, (ii) Arun Kumar Sharma, (iii) Satyendra Kumar Singh, (iv) Smt. Sunita Yadav, (v) Deepak Kumar Agarwal, and (vi) Rajendra Kumar (Verma), to be Judges of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, in that order of seniority, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices."

Further, in the exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President has appointed Robin Phukan, to be an Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court, for a period of two years with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
