181 Corruption Charges & 1,439 Criminal Cases Against Central Forces Personnel: Centre Tells Parliament

The Central Government informed the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that 181 personnel in the Central Forces are facing corruption charges and 1,439 personnel are facing criminal cases.
This was informed by the Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai while answering a question posed by CPI(M) Member of the Parliament Dr. V. Sivadasan on the number of Central paramilitary and police personnel under jurisdiction of Central Government who are facing corruption charges as well as criminal cases.
"In so far as Central Armed Police Forces, Assam Rifles and National Security Guards are concerned, 181 personnel are facing corruption charges and 1439 personnel are facing criminal cases", the Centre informed.
The response also contained a detailed table enumerating the pending number of cases against various personnel which are as follows,
1. Assam Rifles- 5 Corruption Charges, 55 Criminal Cases
2. Border Security Force- 30 Corruption Charges, 451 Criminal Cases
3. Central Industrial Security Force- 15 Corruption Charges, 258 Criminal Cases
4. Central Reserve Force- 47 Corruption Charges, 354 Criminal Cases
5. Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force- 6 Corruption Charges, 67 Criminal Cases
6. National Security Guard- 0 Corruption Charges, 7 Criminal Cases
7. Sashastra Seema Bal- 78 Corruption Charges, 247 Criminal Cases
