CBI Files Chargesheet Against Sandip Ghosh, Four Others In RG Kar Medical College & Hospital Corruption Case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed its chargesheet before the trial court pertaining to the probe into the allegations of corruption at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, where a trainee doctor was brutally raped and murdered earlier this year.
The chargesheet names the accused as former principal Sandip Ghosh, Ashish Kumar Pandey, former House Staff, Biplab Singha, Proprietor of M/s Maa Tara Traders, Suman Hazra, Proprietor of M/s Hazra Medical and Afsar Ali Khan, Additional Security.
Earlier, the High Court had handed over the probe into the alleged corruption at the hospital to the CBI from the state police, after allegations emerged that the former principal was running a racket of illegal activities in the hospital.
