In a heartening display of commitment to education and social change, Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, Judge of the Patna High Court and Executive Chairman of the Bihar State Legal Services Authority (BSLSA), visited a slum area under the jurisdiction of the Rupaspur police station today. The purpose of this visit was to interact with slum dwellers and emphasize the significance of education in the lives of their children.
During his visit, Justice Singh engaged in conversations with numerous residents of the slum, raising awareness about the pivotal role education plays in shaping the future of young minds.
Justice Singh urged the slum dwellers to ensure the admission of their children into nearby schools, highlighting the potential for a brighter future that education brings.
Moreover, he assured the slum residents of BSLSA's unwavering support should they encounter any challenges in the admission process. This visit serves as a testament to the collaborative effort undertaken by all District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) across Bihar.
This initiative has garnered substantial success, as over 330 underprivileged children from slum areas have already been enrolled in schools since its inception. The initiative was launched under the esteemed patronage of Justice K. Vinod Chandran, Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, on Independence Day, August 15, 2023.
Shri Rajesh Narayan Sewak Pandey, Member Secretary of BSLSA, along with other officials from the organization, were also present during this visit, underscoring the collective commitment to providing quality education opportunities for underprivileged children residing in slum areas across Bihar.
