Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bhibhav Kumar has moved a Delhi Court seeking bail in the alleged Swati Maliwal assault case.

The matter was mentioned yesterday by Kumar's counsels for urgent hearing after he was remanded to four days of judicial custody.

The court has issued notice on Kumar's bail plea and sought a response from the Delhi Police.

The matter will now be heard on Monday. Advocates Rajat Bharadwaj and Karan Sharma represented Kumar.

Kumar will be produced in court on May 28. He was earlier remanded to five days of police custody.

The FIR was registered on the written complaint of Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal. Kumar was arrested on May 18.

Yesterday, the Delhi Police had sought four days of judicial custody remand for Kumar.

The Delhi Police alleged that Kumar has always been non-co-operative during investigation and gave evasive answers to the questions. It has also been alleged that he deliberately did not disclose the password of his mobile phone, which is an important piece of information in the probe to unearth the truth.

Some investigation si being carried out by the members of the investigating team in Mumbai and are likely ot return Delhi soon with some evidences and the accused wil be required again for confrontation. Accordingly, accused may please be remanded to 4 days judicial custody remand,” the remand application read.
