In view of the havoc created by second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has decided to extend all interim orders passed by it and other Subordinate Courts /Tribunals in the State, that were subsisting as on April 21, 2021, till June 30, 2021.

"Having regard to the prevailing Situation, it is directed that in all matters wherein interim orders passed by this Court and Courts/Tribunals, which are subordinate to the High Court, are Subsisting as on 21.04.2021, such interim orders shall unconditionally be extended till 30.06.2021, unless specifically dealt with by any judicial order to the contrary," ordered a Division Bench comprising of Chief Justice AK Goswami and Justice CP Kumar.

It is however clarified that all parties affected by the continuation of the interim orders will be at liberty to apply for vacating such orders, with due notice to the parties, in whose favour such interim orders have been made.

The order was passed in a suo moto case registered by the High Court on noting that many Advocates and their Staff members have also been affected by the pandemic.

The situation will be reviewed on June 28.
