Justice Virendra Kumar Srivastava, a sitting Judge of the Allahabad High Court has succumbed to COVID-19 virus. After contracting the virus, he was shifted to PGI, Lucknow few days ago, where he passed away today. Justice Virendra Kumar Srivastava, a sitting Judge of the Allahabad High Court has succumbed to COVID-19 virus.

After contracting the virus, he was shifted to PGI, Lucknow few days ago, where he passed away today.

Justice Srivastava obtained his degree in Law in the year 1986 and post graduated in Law in the year 1988.

He was appointed in the Higher Judicial Service in 2005. He was promoted as a District & Sessions Judge in 2016.

He was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court on November 22, 2018 and was made a Permanent Judge on November 20, 2020.

His term was set to expire in December 2023.
