The Allahabad High Court (Lucknow Bench) on Tuesday (11th November) issued notices to Union Of India & National Testing Agency (NTA) over the declaration of the NEET 2020 result without deciding on objections filed by the Petitioners in relation to a couple of questions (which appeared in the examination) held on Sunday (13.09.2020).
It may be noted that the Petitioners argued before the Court that the objections were invited on the key answer sheet by means of notice dated 27.09.2020.
In response thereto, the petitioners had submitted their objections in regard to questions no. 19 and 148 on 27.09.2020 itself and had deposited Rs.2,000/- as requisite fees for the same.
Thereafter, it was submitted before the Court that the result of NEET 2020 was declared on 16.10.2020 by NTA without considering their objections to the questions filed by the petitioners "as the final answer key does not show any change in the answer of questions no.19 and 148 in regard to which the petitioners had submitted their objections."
It was submitted before the Court that,
"As per opposite party no.4 the answer of the question no.19 was 1-G1 Phase while as per the petitioners, it should have been 4-M Phase of booklet no.G-4. The answer of the question no.148 was shown as 3-Coalision Frequency while as per the petitioners it should have been 1-Reaction."
Lastly, the Court issued Notices and the same was accepted on behalf of the opposite parties no.1 and 3 by Assistant Solicitor General of India and Anand Dwivedi, Advocate put in his appearance.
