The Allahabad High Court today decided that the mode of hearing in the High Court, both at Allahabad and Lucknow, will be switched over to hybrid mode from virtual mode w.e.f. Monday, i.e. 07.02.2022.
This order will be subject to other COVID-19 protocols, including restrictions on the entry of Clerks of Advocates and Litigants other than those whose personal presence has been directed by an order of the Court.
The order of the High Court further states that it has to be ensured that at a time, there should not be more than 10 Advocates inside the Court Room. The order has been communicated for information and circulation amongst all the Advocates by the Registrar (Protocol), Allahabad High Court.
It may be noted that on January 9, the Allahabad High Court (both benches) had decided to function via Virtual Mode of hearing (starting from January 10) after 8 judges, a few judicial employees, and some lawyers had tested COVID-19 Positive.
This decision had come 6 days after the High Court decided to move from a virtual mode of hearing to a hybrid mode of hearing.
