The Madhya Pradesh High Court has allowed an application filed by a person for condonation of delay in filing appeal against the life imprisonment awarded to him in a murder case.

The court found there is a delay of 277 days in filing the appeal.

While hearing an application, a division bench comprising Justice SK Gangele and Justice Rajeev Kumar Dubey said: “The Trial Court awarded sentence of life, hence the application is allowed and delay in filing the appeal is hereby condoned.”

The appellant challenged the trial court order wherein he was awarded life imprisonment in murder case.

The court called for the record of the case from the trial court for hearing the appeal.
