SNIL Bhubaneswar Wins 7th KIIT Mock Trial Competition 2024, Utkal University Team Emerges As Runners-Up

The 7th KIIT Mock Trial Competition 2024, hosted by the KIIT School of Law, KIIT University, took place from November 22 to November 24, 2024, and concluded with an impressive display of legal skills. The team from the SOA National Institute of Law (SNIL), Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (Deemed to be University), Bhubaneswar, emerged as the champions. The winning team comprised Aditya Mohapatra (LL.B. Hons., Second Year), Anshita Mishra (B.A. LL.B. Hons., Fourth Year), and Rituparna Nayak (B.A. LL.B. Hons., Fourth Year).

The team from University Law College, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, consisting of Karisma Mohanty, H. Krishna Chandra Dora, and Ananya Bhuyan (all Fourth-Year B.A. LL.B. (H) students), secured the position of '1st Runners-Up.' Additionally, Ananya Bhuyan received the 'Best Researcher' Award for achieving the highest marks in the Researcher's Test during the national competition.

The 7th KIIT Mock Trial Competition 2024, hosted by the KIIT School of Law, KIIT University, is a prestigious national-level event aimed at testing the legal acumen, research skills, and trial advocacy abilities of aspiring lawyers. Spanning three days, the competition culminated in an intense final round on November 24, 2024, where teams presented their cases before a distinguished panel of three Senior Advocates from the High Court of Orissa. The final round was contested, with teams demonstrating exceptional legal skills.
