Lawyers' for Justice in association with Rajdhani Yuva Sansad is organizing the Second (2nd) National Lawyers' Parliament Festival 2024. If you have always aspired to engage in critical legal discussions and contribute to the evolution of India's legal framework, then this is it! Law Students (4th and 5th year students of 5 year integrated law programme & 2nd and 3rd year students of 3 year law programme) and Advocates from across the country are to invited to join this significant discussion on the new criminal laws that will shape the future of justice in India.
The vision of Founder Trustees of Lawyers for Justice, Piyush Gupta - Advocate, Member Bar Council of Delhi & K.K. Tyagi, Advocate and Co - Founders of Rajdhani Yuva Sansad, Jai Saini, Advocate & Isha Kapoor, Advocate behind organising this event is to spread the powerful message that “संवाद ही हल है।” (Dialogue is the only solution). Through this platform, the aim is to instil in participants the values of critical thinking, respectful discourse, and a deep understanding of national issues, empowering them to be the torchbearers of change. The first (1st) edition, delved into the crucial topic of the Uniform Civil Code with eminent lawyers and law students. The compiled booklet on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), packed with the lively and insightful views of the participants, has also been submitted to key stakeholders, including policymakers, legal experts, and community leaders, for their review and consideration. This edition promises to be an even more engaging and enlightening journey towards meaningful dialogue.
The intent behind choosing the new criminal laws as the topic of discussion is to address the new criminal laws that were recently introduced in our country. With these changes sparking widespread questions and debates, this platform provides an invaluable opportunity for relevant stakeholders to come together. Through this discussion, the aim is to deepen understanding of the new laws, tackle any challenges they may present, and collaboratively work towards refining and improving them to better serve justice and societal needs.
