RPNLU Prayagraj And ICPS Delhi Sign MoU To Foster Academic And Research Collaboration

In a step towards strengthening academic and training collaboration, Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University, Prayagraj (RPNLU) and the Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) on February 13, 2025 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote institutional cooperation in the areas of parliamentary procedures, constitutional law, and legislative drafting.

The MoU was signed by Prof. (Dr.) Usha Tandon, Vice-Chancellor, RPNLU, Prayagraj and Dr. Seema Kaul Singh, Director, ICPS, solidifying a commitment to jointly undertake research projects, academic programs, and training activities aimed at advancing knowledge and expertise in Legal, Constitutional and Parliamentary studies. Both institutions joined their hands to organise regular academic events to deliberate on contemporary issues in the field of Constitutional and Parliamentary studies. They agreed to work together to develop and conduct courses and programs that enhance awareness about the Law, the Constitution and the Parliamentary System.

The MoU facilitates faculty exchange and the sharing of research and development facilities to support academic initiatives. Specialized courses/programmes and training courses on legislative drafting and parliamentary procedures will be jointly conducted to build professional expertise. The collaboration aims to provide students with hands-on experience through internships and career opportunities in the field of Constitutional and Parliamentary studies. Both institutions have agreed that the specific activities under this MoU will be developed through mutual consultation, ensuring that the collaboration remains dynamic and responsive to emerging academic and professional needs.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Usha Tandon, Vice-Chancellor, RPNLU, also highlighted the significance of the agreement, saying, “This collaboration will enrich our students and faculty by providing them with exposure to practical aspects of legislative drafting and governance, strengthening their academic and professional competencies.”

Dr. Seema Kaul Singh, Director, ICPS, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This MoU marks a milestone in fostering academic excellence and policy research in Constitutional and Parliamentary studies. We look forward to a fruitful partnership with RPNLU, Prayagraj.”
