The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab proffers ample opportunities to students for enhancement of their writing, speaking and critical thinking skills. The department of English, RGNUL in collaboration with Re-Markings, International Biannual Peer Reviewed Journal of English Letters, organised an article writing competition. Articles penned by six RGNUL students of B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) First year, Khushi Kaul, Deepali, Aviral Pathak, Jaiveer Singh, Shreya Jain and Charvi, have been selected and published in March 2022 edition of Re-Markings. Prof. G.S. Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor, RGNUL eulogised the excellent endeavour of students. He said, "Defying all odds during the pandemic induced disrupted learning, RGNUL students have won laurels for the institute in various competitions." " Good writing skills are an invaluable asset for lawyers and judges. Writing skills allow effective communication," he added. Prof. Nibir Ghosh, Chief Editor, Re-Markings congratulated the winners and appreciated their articulation of thoughts on "Words and Worlds" in an exceptionally novel manner.
Earlier, the department of English, RGNUL published an anthology of selected student writings titled Essays on Classics. The department has been constantly encouraging students to develop their skills and competencies through diverse academic events.
