Moot team from the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) , Punjab comprising of Anmol Mahajan, Wamic Wasim Nargal, Aaryan Goyal, Abhigyan Tripathi, Satvik Mishra and Kanika Bansal has won World Rounds of the Oxford Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition, 2021-22. The competition was organized by University of Oxford from 6th to 10th June 2022.
During the South Asia Rounds, RGNUL team was one of the 10 teams to be selected on the basis of Memorial for taking part in the Oral Rounds. The RGNUL Team competed with NUJS Kolkata in the Semi-Finals and NALSAR Hyderabad in the Finals. The team emerged victorious in the South Asia Rounds. Additionally, Anmol Mahajan was adjudged the Best Speaker for the competition as well as the finals of the South Asia Rounds.
In the World Rounds, 27 teams from 8 regions of the world including 3 from South Asia were selected to compete in the World Rounds. The RGNUL team surpassed 3 teams to reach the Semi Finals. In the Semifinal Round, the team competed with the Singapore Management University and in the finals, NALSAR Hyderabad.
