All-Girls Team From MNLU Nagpur Wins Best Negotiation Advocacy Award At IBA-VIAC CDRC Competition 2024 In Vienna
An all-girls team from Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Nagpur has won the “Best Negotiation Advocacy” Award at the 9th edition of the IBA-VIAC CDRC Mediation and Negotiation Competition 2024. The competition took place in Vienna, Austria, from July 5th to 10th.
The winning team, comprising Meenal Maheshwari and Aparimita Tiwari from the 5th year B.A.LLB (Hons.), along with Yukta Chordia and Chinmayi Patil from the 4th year B.A.LLB (Hons.), excelled among 42 university teams from around the globe. Their exceptional negotiation advocacy skills earned them international recognition, underscoring MNLU Nagpur's commitment to excellence in legal education.
This is not the first time the team has demonstrated their prowess. They previously secured the 5th Rank, Best Mediation Plan, and Cultural Award at the ICC Asia Pacific Commercial Mediation Competition 2023, showcasing their consistent excellence.
The team's success is attributed to the expert guidance of their coach, Pascal Comvalius, whose mentorship has been invaluable. The students expressed their deep gratitude for his support and strategic insights.
The IBA-VIAC CDRC Mediation & Negotiation Competition is a premier global event focused on international commercial mediation and negotiation. Held annually in Vienna, the competition offers a platform for students to hone their skills through moot competitions, pre-moot conferences, workshops, and networking opportunities. This year, the event hosted 28 negotiator teams and 14 mediator teams.
These achievements reflect MNLU Nagpur's dedication to preparing its students for global challenges and fostering leadership in the field of law.
