Dharmashstra National Law University (DNLU) on Tuesday conducted a guest lecture where the 'Dharmashastra Law Lecture Series' was inaugurated.
The event was graced by Hon'ble Shri Justice Ananga Kumar Patnaik, former judge, Supreme Court of India.
The lecture was on the topic of 'Study of Law & Career Options for Law Graduates.'
Hon'ble Justice Shri AK Patnaik briefed the students about the career options available for the law graduates. His emphasis was on quality education by judicious practices and innovative methods on how to study law.
He began with relating his experience over the years. After this, he discussed the situation of legal studies in his time. This was followed by tips on how to study law. He emphasized the importance to understand the first principles contained in provisions of law.
This was followed by the possible career options available for a law student, some of them being litigation, working with law firms, corporate jobs, academia, and judicial services.
The lecture was followed by an interactive question and answer session.
