HNLU Organized Free Medical Camp In Collaboration With City Eye Care Hospital, Raipur [3th August]
The Legal Aid and Social Services Committee of Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur announced the successful conclusion of its Free Medical Camp held on August 3, 2024. The event, organized in collaboration with City Eye Care Hospital, Raipur, aimed to sensitize the students, faculty, and staff, about the importance of the health of the eyes and the teeth, and early detection and preventive care of the disorders affecting the two vital organs. The Legal Aid and Social Services Committee of HNLU organised this Camp under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) V. C. Vivekanandan, Vice Chancellor HNLU. The Camp reflects the commitment of the University to ensure the health and well-being of all thereby promoting and upholding the right to health, which forms an integral part of the right to life enshrined in the Constitution of India.
The camp, which took place from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Second-Floor Reading Hall at HNLU, was attended by over 130 participants, including faculty, staff, and students. The event began with an informative lecture on Common Eye Diseases at 10:00 AM, followed by a 15- minute Q&A session held at the Mini Theatre. Dr. Amrita Verma, Retina Specialist; Dr. Manish Shrivastava, Senior Ophthalmologist; Dr. Shaharyar, General Consultant; Dr. Atish Sahu, Dental Consultant; and Dr. Rashmi Rathore, Dental Consultant from City Eye Care Hospital, Raipur, guided the participants and conducted the comprehensive eye and dental check-ups.
Dr. Vipin Kumar, Registrar HNLU; and Dr. Avinash Samal Dean Student Welfare were present during the Camp. The formal vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Kaumudhi Challa, Faculty Convenor, Legal Aid and Social Services Committee. The student Convenors Shreya Suresh and Ayush Dewangan and students of Legal Aid and Social Services Committee worked hard for the success of the camp. The feedback from attendees highlighted a high level of satisfaction with the organization and execution of the event, reflecting its success in meeting the community's healthcare needs. The committee remains committed to organizing future events aimed at enhancing the well-being of the HNLU community.
