GLC Mumbai Holds 3rd Dr. Y.P. Trivedi National Tax Moot Court Competition
The 3rd Dr. Y.P. Trivedi National Tax Moot Court Competition was held at Government Law College, Mumbai, on 29th and 30th March.
It was hosted by the Government Law College in association with The Chamber of Tax Consultants.
The moot proposition was a combination of the Income Tax Act, 1961, and the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 1988. There were 18 teams from all over the nation, and each team comprised two speakers and a researcher.
The final round of arguments and valedictory function was held on 30th March, at Government Law College, presided over by Justice M.S. Sonak and Justice D.S. Naidu of the Bombay High Court.
The following are the winners of the competition:
Best Team - Government Law College, Mumbai, team comprising Bhanu Chopra, Devansh Shah, Aadil Parsurampuria.
Second Best Team - Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, team comprising Ramachandran Bhalachandran and Rhythm Kataria.
Best Speaker - Rhythm Kataria (Student of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow).
Second Best Speaker - Ramachandran Bhalachandran (Student of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow).
