St. Joseph's College of Law is dedicated to providing a robust legal education and fostering a deep understanding of various legal issues affecting society today. One of the significant events hosted by SJCL is the National Moot Court Competition (NMCC), an esteemed platform for law students across India to engage in thoughtful legal debates and hone their advocacy skills.

This year, the theme for 5th SJCL National Moot Court Competition 2025 is "Labour Rights of the Organised Sector," a critical and timely issue in the Indian legal landscape. The focus of the competition will be on the legal framework protecting workers in the organised sector, the rights and protections afforded to them, and the ongoing challenges they face in terms of fair wages, working conditions, and social security. The event targets law colleges and law students across India, providing them with the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and contribute to the discourse surrounding labour laws. It serves as a platform for students to explore the complexities of labour rights, legal reforms, and the implications of policy decisions on workers in the organised sector.

The ultimate aim of the competition is to foster a highly competitive and intellectually stimulating environment while bringing attention to the urgent need for legal reforms in labour laws to ensure fair and inclusive workplace policies.
