Sastra University, Thanjavur Wins Moot Court Competition Hosted By Government Law College, Ernakulam

The three-day 21st All India Moot Court Competition for Adv T. S. Venkateswara Iyer memorial Ever Rolling Trophy came to an end on Sunday, 26th of February. The judging panel of final rounds and the valedictory ceremony saw the esteemed presence of the sitting Judges of the Kerala High Court, Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas, Justice Gopinath P, and Justice Dr. Kauser Edappagath.

Eighteen Teams from different law colleges in India had participated in the competition.
The preliminary rounds as well as the quarter-finals were conducted on 25th February 2023 and Semi Final and Final Rounds were held on 26th February 2023.
The team from SASTRA UNIVERSITY, THANJAVUR consisting of Ms. Dhanya Krishnan, Mr. Sundaresan S, and Nagarjun S. emerged as the Best Team, followed by the teams from School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science And Technology, Ernakulam and School of Law, Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore emerged as the runner up and second runner up respectively.
Ms. Dhanya Krishnan of Sastra University won both the Best Speaker as well as the Best Lady Advocate awards. She was followed by her own teammate Mr. Sundaresan S, and Ms. Gayathri Venugopal of Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram as the 2nd and 3rd Best Speakers respectively.
Ms. Navami Gopan of Mar Gregorios College of Law, Thiruvananthapuram won the Best Researcher award, followed by Ms. R. Priya Darshini of School of Excellence in Law, Chennai, and Ms. Neeraj Renjith of Sree Narayana Law College, Poothotta, as the 2nd and 3rd Best Researchers.
The team of Sastra University, Thanjavur won the Best Memorial award, followed by the teams of School of Excellency in Law, Chennai, and School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science And Technology winning the 2nd and 3rd Best Memorials respectively.
