Devi Sharvani Education Society's V.M. Salgaocar College of law, Miramar has announced the 3rd edition of Late Justice G.D. Kamat Memorial National Level Moot Court Competition in February 2025.

Hosted by the College, this flagship event blends legal rigor with fierce advocacy. With two successful editions, this competition is celebrated as one of India's most prestigious mooting competitions. This year, the spotlight turns to the Constitutional and Family law, promising a gripping legal battle as participants navigate the complexities of one of India's most crucial legal frameworks.

Event Highlights

Date: 21st – 23rd February 2025

Venue: V.M. Salgaocar College of law, Miramar

Elligibility: Students enrolled in 3-year LLB or 5-year integrated law programs

Competition Format

  1. Mode of the Competition: The third edition will be held in offline mode.
  2. Researcher's test: This test evaluates participants on their legal research skills, comprehension of the moot proposition, and ability to provide well-reasoned and accurate responses under time constraints.
  3. Oral Rounds: Spread over three thrilling days, featuring two preliminary, quarter-final, semi-final, and final rounds.

Prizes

Winners: ₹50,000 + Trophy + Merit Certificates

Runners-Up: ₹25,000 + Trophy + Merit Certificates

Best Speaker: ₹15,000 + Award + Merit Certificate

Best Memorial: ₹15,000 + Award + Merit Certificates

Best Researcher: ₹10,000 + Award + Merit Certificate
