GD Goenka University, School Of Law Is Organizing 1st Virtual National Trial Advocacy Competition [12th -13th May]

ELIGIBILITY

Students pursuing a 3-Year L.L.B. Degree Course or a 5-Year Integrated and LL.B. Degree Course from the colleges recognized by the Bar Councilof India are eligible to participate in the competition.

TEAM COMPOSITION

- The maximum number of participants per team shall be restricted to 3 members wherein 2 members will be Speakers and 1 member shall be a Researcher.

- Only the Participant who is a Speaker in all four- Preliminary, Quarter Final, Semi-Final and Final rounds shall be eligible for the award of the Best Speaker.

- The identity of the team [name of the Law College / School / University] must not be disclosed to the Judges as well as to the other Participating Teams. Any such disclosure shall lead to disqualification.

- The substitution of any member is not allowed except with the prior approval of the Administrators.

LANGUAGE OF THE COMPETITION

- The competition shall be organized and conducted in the English Language.

- The Registration fee (per team) for the said competition is Rs. 2000/- (Rupees two thousand only).

- Registration fee is to be submitted through the payment gateway provided in the registration form (online payment).

- Forms received after the deadline will not be received.

- The registration fee is non-refundable.

- The registration of a team will be considered complete once the registration fees are paid and the registration form, i.e., through the google form, with all necessary details, is received.

- No change in the names of the participants shall be permitted after the receipt of the Registration Form, except at the sole discretion of the Administrators.

- The last registration date for the said competition is 5th May 2023 till 11:59 pm.

Completion of Registration Process

All teams must upload a scanned copy of the receipt generated on completion of the NEFT transfer or UPI on the Registration Form. The receipt must contain the reference number after the completion of the wire transfer of the registration fees.

AWARDS

- Winner- 25,000/- + Trophy + Certificate

- Runners up- 15,000/- + Trophy + Certificate

- Best Speaker- 8,000/- + Trophy+ Certificate

Note: It is the responsibility of teams to distribute cash prizes among themselves.

- Online Certificates for participation will be given to all the participants under the current circumstances. The Online Certificates will be accessible only after the valedictory ceremony.

- Participants will receive their Participation Certificates on given mail after they fill up the feedback form.

- Certificates for Quarter-Finalists, Semi-Finalists, Runners-up, Winners and Best Speaker will also be provided after they fill up an additional form for their prizes.

- Cash awards will be sent after getting details of winners such as Institution ID card, PAN Card & Bank Account details for which they will be contacted via email by the Moot Court Committee.
