Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Law's 1st edition of the Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition is set to take place from April 13th to 15th, offering law students a unique opportunity to hone their legal skills and knowledge in the field of constitutional law. Hosted by the prestigious Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Law, this competition provides a platform for participants to engage in a simulated courtroom experience where they will argue hypothetical cases related to constitutional law. Over the course of several days, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their advocacy skills, legal analysis, research, and ability to address the legal issues at hand. The competition will focus on issues of constitutional law, including the interpretation of the Constitution, the protection of individual rights and freedoms, the separation of powers, and federalism. Esteemed legal professionals and practitioners will serve as judges, providing valuable feedback and evaluating participants based on their performance. Additionally, the event will feature keynote speakers and panel discussions on topics related to constitutional law.

Eligibility:

Students duly enrolled and pursuing full-time 5 years or 3 years
undergraduate law courses may apply to participate in the given
'Competition'. Students enrolled and pursuing a post-graduate diploma
or short-term certificate courses in law are not eligible to apply.

Registration:

Step 1: Each institution must first, provisionally register itself for the
Competition by sending an Official Provisional Registration mail to
mootcourtassociation.dypcl@gmail.com with the subject 'NAME OF
INSTITUTION-PROVISIONAL REGISTRATION FOR DYPCL MOOT COURT
COMPETITION 2023.
Step 2: Only upon the confirmation of the provisional registration the
team shall register for the competition by filing and uploading the
following documents on the Google Form Link sent to them via email
after the provisional registration.

Step 3: On confirmation of provisional registration the team shall
make a payment of Rs. 4000/- (Rupees Four Thousand Only)
electronically on the below-mentioned details:

On receiving the participation, the registration of the first 20
teams will be allowed to participate in the Competition on First Come
- First serve basis. The same will be notified to the respective teams
through electronic mail.

Fee Details:

Registration Fees: Rs. 4000 (Does not include accommodation)

Cash Prize Details:

· Best Team: Rs, 35000

· Second Best Team: Rs. 25000

· Best Speaker: Rs. 10,000

· Best Memo: Rs. 10,000

· Best Researcher: Rs. 10,000

· Total Cash Prize: Rs. 90,000
