MNLU Nagpur Ranks Among Top 10 Globally At 2024 Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition

Maharashtra National Law University,Nagpur emerges as the Top 10 teams globally at the prestigious 16th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition, 2024 organized by Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria in association with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, United Nations.

The team comprised Ayush Anand (Class of 2027) and Alen Thomas Pallattu(Class of 2027). The advanced global rounds was held in-person at United Nations Office in Geneva from 15th July-19th July.

The team representing Maharashtra National Law University Nagpur were ranked 10th in the final Global Rankings in the Advanced Global Rounds .They were also the Best Ranked Indian team and the only Indian team to make it to top 10 best teams globally.

In the first stage of the competition , the team excelled in the memorial selection rounds, securing their place among the top 50 teams globally among hundreds of participating universities. Further, they advanced to the global preliminary rounds held online from May 15th to 18th July wherein they successfully made it to the Top 24 World Teams which qualified for the advanced global rounds.
