KLE Society's KLE College of Law, Navi Mumbai is accepting registrations from undergraduate students from all streams and LLB students, pan-India for the 5th National Law Fest – SPARKLE 5.0 to be held on 02nd- 03rd March, 2024 (Online) and 16th-17th March, 2024 (Offline)

Karnataka Lingayat Education (KLE) Society was established on November 13th, 1916, in the form of an Anglo-Vernacular School. At present there are 296 educational institutions with a total student strength of 138000 and staff strength of 18000 in diverse faculties like Arts, Science, Commerce, Medicine, Engineering, Dental, Pharmacy, Architecture, Law, Nursing, Ayurveda, Management, Information Technology and Computer Science. These institutions spread across unknown rural areas to well-known cities, are at par excellence in infrastructure with high-quality education which are accepted with wide acclaim by members of society and approved by NAAC/Universities/NAB etc.

KLE College of Law, Navi Mumbai, was started in the year 2016-17 under the aegis of the Karnataka Lingayat Education Society. The Institution started with an ambition to impart legal education, which is in fact a very important step towards spreading awareness and empowering the helpless in the society. The College is affiliated to the University of Mumbai, and recognized by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. It conducts LL.B. (Three Years) & B.L.S. LL.B. (Five Years) Courses. The College also provides Certificate Courses in Cyber Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Human Rights and English Language.

Since 2019, KLE College of Law has organised four National Law Festivals. The college is pleased to announce the 5th National Law Festival – SPARKLE 5.0. Our 5th National Law Festival which will include two competitions- National Moot Court Competition and National Client Counselling Competition.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

  • National Moot Court Competition

KLE College of Law will be hosting a Moot Court Competition. Each team shall comprise a minimum of two members i.e., two speakers, and a maximum of three members i.e., two speakers and one researcher. Thus, each team shall be composed of two speakers (Compulsory) and a researcher (Optional).

A maximum of ONE team is allowed to participate in the competition from one institute.

  • National Client Counselling Competition

KLE College of Law will be hosting a Client Counselling Competition. The participants will be in a team of two for Client Counselling. They will deal with the problem given by their client and give them advice on their legal issues.

A maximum of ONE team is allowed to participate in the competition from one institute.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • National Moot Court Competition

The Competition is open to all bona fide regular students enrolled in any undergraduate/graduate Law Course (5 Year course & 3 Year course) within India which is recognized by the Bar Council or State Government or Central Government as the case may be.

  • National Client Counselling Competition

The Competition is open to all bona fide regular students enrolled in any undergraduate/graduate Law Course (5 Year course & 3 Year course) within India which is recognized by the Bar Council or State Government or Central Government as the case may be.

REGISTRATION FEES:

  • National Moot Court Competition

The participation fees shall be Rs 1500/- per team for all the teams.

The teams that qualify for the offline rounds will have to pay Rs 4000/- towards food and accommodation.

  • National Client Counselling Competition

The participation fees shall be Rs 1000/- per team for all the teams.

The teams that qualify for the offline rounds will have to pay Rs 4000/- towards food and accommodation.

  • The receipt of screenshot of the payment along with the form and bondafide certificate shall only confirm the participation of a team in the competition.

Best Student Advocate – Trophy + Rs. 5000/-

(Best Student Advocate would be decided based on the total of speaker scores obtained during both the preliminary rounds)

National Client Counselling Competition

Winner- Trophy + Rs. 11,000/-

Runners-Up- Trophy + Rs. 5,000/-

Best Counsellor- Trophy + Rs. 3000/-

(The best Counsellor would be decided on the basis of the scores in the preliminary rounds)

All participants will be issued participation certificates.
