IDIA Madhya Pradesh Chapter: '1st IDIA-MP Chapter (NLIU) Legal Skillathon' [19th - 20th October]
The Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education (IDIA) Madhya Pradesh Chapter has announced the '1st IDIA-MP Chapter Legal Skillathon'.
Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA) is a non-profit organization that aims to empower underprivileged and marginalized children by giving them access to quality legal education, in a bid to enhance the diversity in law schools across India. Conceptualized in 2010 as the brainchild of Late Prof. (Dr.) Shamnad Basheer, IDIA has since expanded to over 1000 volunteers across 20+ states.
The IDIA MP Chapter is run by the students of the National Law Institute University, Bhopal. With over 70 volunteers, IDIA MP has been proactive in training the students for various law entrance exams.
This virtual Skillathon is designed to equip law students with critical skills required for academic and professional success, covering key areas such as Mooting, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Legal Writing & Research, and Session on Career in Corporate Sector, Litigation, Judiciary, and Civil Services. Esteemed speakers from prestigious international and national law firms and institutions will guide participants, providing them with practical insights and career-oriented advice.

- Top performers will be awarded with Certificate of Merit.
- Top performers would also be given Internship Opportunities at a prestigious law firm and litigation chambers.
OBJECTIVE
The IDIA MP Chapter is organising the Skillathon to provide law students and aspirants with an invaluable opportunity to enhance their legal skills while at the same time contributing to a worthy cause, as a cent per cent of the proceeds will support the IDIA initiative, which undertakes mentoring and empowering underprivileged students through legal education.

- 17 October 2024: Registration Deadline
- 19-21 October 2024: Dates of Skillathon
- 22 October 2024: Assessment Day
