NLU Delhi: PG Diploma Certificate Course On International Commercial Arbitration And Investment Treaty Arbitration [Applications Close on 24th January]
The National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Justice Indu Malhotra, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India to establish a Chair on Investment Treaty Arbitration. As part of this initiative, NLU Delhi has now released details of the Post Graduate Diploma Certificate Course on International Commercial Arbitration and Investment Treaty Arbitration. This is the first specialized course of its kind to be conducted in India. The course has been structured after deliberations with Indian and foreign experts from various jurisdictions.
The Patron-in-Chief of this course is Justice Indu Malhotra and Mr. V.K. Rajah, Senior Counsel will chair the course. Mr. Rajah is a renowned international arbitrator, and has had a distinguished career in public service as a Judge of the Court of Appeal, and High Court of Singapore, and has also served as Attorney General for Singapore.
Some of the leading experts in international arbitration from India and abroad will be teaching this course. Some names include Toby Landau KC, Stavros Brekoulakis, Jansen Calamita, Prabhash Ranjan, Aditya Singh, Ciccu Mukhopadhaya, amongst others.
The objective of this course is for building capacity and expertise in India, in the area of international arbitration. This course will impart a comprehensive understanding of international commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration to the candidates, equipping them with the skills to manage and resolve cross-border disputes in a globalized economy.
The course is scheduled to commence from 17 February 2025 onwards. A major launch event is scheduled for 15 February 2025.
