This version 2.0, marks a significant upgrade from the previous edition of the Advanced Legal Drafting course by ILW, incorporating some newly introduced legislations i.e.:
- New Criminal Laws—replacing the IPC, CrPC, and IEA with the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 and Bharatiya Sakshya Sanhita (BSS), 2023.
- The Mediation Act, 2023, which was passed to promote and grant statutory recognition to mediation as a way to resolve disputes in India and to make it a more acceptable and cost-effective alternative to traditional court proceedings. The act has made significant change in the way Arbitration and Mediation Act, 1996 plays its role in mitigation of disputes. Act replaces entire process of Conciliation with Mediation by giving statutory recognition to Mediation. Which is why learning of this new Act becomes important for law students to keep a pace with changing world.
- The Patent (Amendment) Rules, 2024, which were passed to simplify the process of obtaining and managing patents in India. New rules have made significant changes in the laws and methods drafting and litigation is seen in the Patent.
