SVKM's NMIMS Kirit P. Mehta School of Law (KPMSOL), situated in Mumbai, was established in the year 2013 with an objective to provide world-class legal education and to produce legal professionals who are not only competent in the field of law, but also responsible citizens. Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, NMIMS aims to refine students' competency by engaging them in curricular and extracurricular activities, and Alternative Dispute Resolution is an integral part of each law student's journey.

The Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) of KPMSOL on receiving overwhelming response to the 1st edition of INMC in 2023, has paved the way for the much-awaited 2nd Edition of the International Negotiation and Mediation Competition in a hybrid format. The event is scheduled to take place in two parts:

· Preliminary Rounds (Online): 7th -8th September, 2024

· Quarters-Semis-Final Rounds (Offline): 5th-6th October, 2024

The competition attracts participation from reputable global institutions and legal experts worldwide. Notably, students from various countries including Singapore, Pakistan, Scotland and Nepal have participated in the last edition.

Bonafide students pursuing undergraduate L.L.B. three/five-year degree programs during the academic year 2024-25 are eligible to participate.

About the 2nd NMIMS International Negotiation and Mediation Competition 2024

The Preliminary Round of the Competition will be held online on 07th & 08th September 2024. After the Preliminary Round 1 & 2, the 8 teams with the highest cumulative team scores in each segment, i.e. Mediation and Negotiation will qualify to the quarter-finals on a progression basis. Winners of each Mediation or Negotiation room of the subsequent rounds, will qualify for the next round on a knock-out basis. The Quarters-Semis-Final rounds will be held offline at the Mumbai campus of Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, Mumbai.

Registration

The registration shall be on a first come first serve basis.

Registrations will be invited from National and International Law universities/colleges/institutes for a maximum of two teams consisting of three students each for the Mediation Segment and two students each for the Negotiation segment.

There are two steps to the registration process for the competition, the application and the selection. The provisional application form is a confirmation of the intention of participation of a College/University/Institution and hence the respective Committee Heads/ Teams are requested to fill the same by the mentioned date. Prospective teams shall register by filling the google form for provisional registration ( https://forms.gle/AuEuHnbhBNHf9Mkq7) on or before 05th August 2024 (23:59 IST).

On confirming the intention to participate, the colleges will be allotted slots at the discretion of the Organizing Committee whose decision shall be final and binding. Post this, the teams need to fill the form for final registration along with the registration fee which will be mentioned in the form. Failure to complete the registration process shall result in forgoing the slot The final registration closes on the 18th of August for national and 22nd of August for international universities.

Only one team shall be allowed per college/institution. However, colleges/institutions can request for the allocation of a maximum of two team slots by filling the form accordingly. The ADR Committee shall have the final discretion with respect to the choice of the institution to which such a second slot may be allocated.

Registration fees:

National Teams: The registration fees for the preliminary rounds held on the 7th and 8th of September, 2024 is: 2950 (INR inclusive of taxes)

International Teams: The registration fees for the preliminary rounds held on the 7th and 8th of September, 2024 is: 75$ (USD inclusive of Taxes)

The registration fees for the Quarters-Semis-Final rounds scheduled on the 5th and 6th of October will be communicated to the selected participants post preliminary rounds results.
