Call For Entries: 1st NLUO National Essay Writing Competition On Animal And Environmental Law And Policy

This essay competition aims to act as an opportunity for students, academicians and professionals to nurture their research and writing skills in the field of Animal and Environmental Law and Policy.

Eligibility:

• Authors must be pursuing their LL.B. (Hons.) / LL.B. / LL.M. from any recognized University to be eligible to participate in the competition.
• Academicians and professionals are also invited to send in their contributions to the competition.

Themes:

· Role of Law and Policy in Co-existence of the Human and Non-Human Animals in the Complex Urban Ecosystem

· The Impact of Climate Change vis-a-vis Wildfires on Animals and Environment: Sustainable Solutions through Effective Laws and Policies

The participants are advised to restrict their essays to the above-given themes.

Prizes:

• First Prize: Cash reward of 20,000 INR and publication on the official blog.
• Second Prize: Cash reward 15,000 INR and publication on the official blog.
• Third Prize: Cash reward 10,000 INR and publication on the official blog.
• In addition to the top three winners, 12 selected essays shall be published on the official blog and the authors will be awarded a publication certificate.
• All the participants who clear the first stage review will be awarded a certificate of participation.

Important Dates:

· Last Date of Registration: 20^th October 2019 (11:59 PM).

· Last date of Submission: 15^th November 2019 (11:59 PM).

· Date of Declaration of Results: 20^th January 2020.
