The Society for Non-Human Persons (SNHP), at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, will be hosting the 3rd edition of the NLS Animal Protection PIL Competition, presented by Humane Society International, India.

SNHP strives to improve the welfare of animals and increase awareness of animal rights in society, especially in the legal community. The NLS Animal Protection PIL Competition is the brainchild of the committee.

- The last date for submitting clarifications: 10th March 2019
- Last date for registration: 15th March 2019
The competition will be held over two stages: memorial qualification round and oral rounds.
Eligibility:
- All law schools, faculties of law and other Universities offering a law-related degree program are eligible to participate in the Competition. Each participating University can send up to 3 teams. Members of the team must be valid Undergraduate students pursuing a recognized Bachelor of Law program.
- Cross University teams are also allowed in the competition. This means that the members of a team need not be from the same University. However, each member of the team must be valid Undergraduate students pursuing a recognized Bachelor of Law program.
Team Composition: A team can have a minimum of two members, and a maximum of three. Each team must specify the two team members who would be speaking in a round, prior to commencement of that particular round.
