The Constitutional Law Society (CLS) & Society for Advancement of Animal and Environmental Welfare (SAAEW) of NLUO in collaboration with Humane World for Animals (HWA) are organizing the NLUO-HWA National Conference on Expanding Principles of Constitutional Law and Rights of Non-Humans under Article 21 on 5 & 6 September 2025.
The Conference seeks to examine the evolving jurisprudential developments and their intersection with contemporary issues such as indigenous rights, sustainable development, animal personhood, euthanasia, digital privacy, and social security. As constitutional law expands its scope, it raises critical questions about balancing human interests with the recognition of Rights of Non-Humans.
