ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The 1st International Conference on Aviation Law, in conjunction with the 4th International Conference on Emerging Trends in the Aviation MRO Industry, is an event bringing together legal scholars, industry experts, policymakers, and aviation professionals. The conference is organised by National Law University Delhi in collaboration with Aviakul Group of Companies. The Aim of the conference is to address critical legal, regulatory, and operational challenges in the aviation sector and create avenues to develop competency in the field of aviation law and arbitration.

With the rapid growth of India's aviation industry and the introduction of the Bharatiya Vayuyan Adhiniyam, 2024, replacing the 90-year-old Aircraft Act of 1934, it is imperative to analyze the evolving legal and economic landscape. This conference provides a platform for discussing contemporary issues in aviation law, international airspace regulations, aircraft leasing, cybersecurity, and dispute resolution mechanisms.

Simultaneously, the Emerging Trends in Aviation MRO Industry segment will focus on India's push for self-reliance in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). Given India's dependency on foreign MRO facilities and the government's push under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, discussions will centre on policy reforms, regulatory frameworks, technological innovations, and infrastructure development to establish India as a global MRO hub.

This two-day event will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and research paper presentations, fostering meaningful dialogue among academia, industry leaders, legal professionals, and policymakers.
