Prisons Head Quarter, Central Jail, Tihar has invited applications from the eligible candidates Appointment of Law Officer and Legal Assistant in Prison Department on Deputation Basis.

• Law Officer: 01

Pay Scale:  

• Law Officer: Rs. 9300-34800+4600 G.P


• Legal Assistant: Rs. 9300-34800+4200 G.P

 Age Limit (Maximum):

• Law Officer: 56 Years


• Legal Assistant: 56 Years

Qualification Law Officer: Officers of Central/State/Union territories.

1. Holding analogous posts on regular basis; or


2. With 5(five) years regular service in posts in the scale of pay of Rs.9300-34800/- +Rs. 4200/- Grade Pay or equivalent; and


3. Possession of the following educational qualification and experience:-

Essential:

1. Degree in Law from a Recognized University or equivalent


2. 4 years of experience of Legal Work in Government Department


3. 4 years of experience as Officer of the Central/State/Union territories Judicial Services­.

 Qualification Legal Assistant: Officers of Central/State/Union territories.

1. Holding analogous posts on regular basis in parent cadre/department; or


2. With 6(five) years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs. 5200+20500/- + Rs. 2800 Grade Pay or equivalent in the parent cadre/department. And


3. Possession of the following educational qualification and experience:-

Essential:

• Degree in Law from a Recognized University or equivalent


• Two years of experience as legal practitioner or two years of experience in Legal work in a Government department or autonomous bodies/public sector undertaking.
