AAA-ICDR Announces The Appointment Of New Director-Asia Case Management Centre

Ms. Aastha Chawla, an Indian qualified lawyer, joins International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) as Director-Asia Case Management Centre (CMC). She is an experienced specialist in dispute resolution with significant experience in providing legal services to a broad range of Indian and international clients.

The ICDR is the international division of the largest arbitral institution in the world, the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Drawing on the AAA's 96+ years of experience, the ICDR's administrative system offers a range of international alternative dispute resolution services across the globe though its strategically located regional offices including the Asia CMC located in Singapore.

Ms. Chawla joins ICDR's global network to promote the use of ICDR's international arbitration and alternate dispute resolution services in Asia and to further ICDR's initiative to provide nearly round-the-world case management services.

Ms. Chawla succeeds Ms. Smrithi Ramesh, former Director-Asia. She is an Indian qualified lawyer and has obtained master's degree in International Commercial Arbitration Law from Stockholm University, Sweden. Ms. Chawla has worked with leading Indian law firms and prior to joining ICDR, she was working with the dispute resolution team at Khaitan & Co., India. In her new capacity as Director-Asia CMC, Ms. Chawla will undertake ICDR's business development and case management activities from the Asia Case Management Centre located in Singapore.
